the 2009 mustang concept
the new 2009 mustang looks like **** i think the new mustang dont look horrible but i think that the 1999-2004 mustangs are the best looking ones in a while but i also love notch backs but the 2009 mustang looks like a sorry *** excuse for a mustang. it really does look like a 2005 that has down sydroms. if you get a chance look it up an tell me what u think.

RE: the 2009 mustang concept
The November 2006 edition of Road & Track has a 2-page spread that includes photos of the 2009 Mustang as well as 3D concept artwork of the design slated for release in 2012. The 2009 looses some of the 2005-07 edition's retro appeal; the hood has a steeper pitch, they've added two nostril looking scoops into the hood, and slanted the front supports that bracket the front grill (and the front corners are sloped inward harder as well). All in all it's not too much different from what we have now, but not what I would call a head turner - unless there's some serious interior upgrades.
Now the 2012 on the other hand, now that looks like dog crap; and I don't mean that in a good way. If this is where Ford is heading, and thinks the market wants it to go, then I'll be looking elsewhere come 2012 when my twin daughters are old enough for their first cars. This thing is seriously a horrible concept. It looks like some weird mangling of the Mustang, the Dodge Charger, and a modern Cadillac. No originality, and only a token connection to the pony's history.
