Thumbs up Going In-Depth With Ford's Twin-Turbocharged V6 EcoBoost Engine

Hi all, longtime lurker, first time poster. This is a pretty neat article about the nuts and bolts of the twin turbo Ford EcoBoost V6. Some nice engine **** in there too. Can't wait to see what this thing does when it goes into the Mustang.

Felt as quick as my 12.96 et 2005 mustang GT
great throttle response, pushed you back in the seat and just pulled HARD!!!!!!!!!!

Now that's a v6 mustang! haha
Should be a good engine. Didn't know they were already in the f150s? How do they sound? (IE ricey or cool).

Awesome. I can already hear the air being let out of the new Camaro's mighty 300hp V6.

These things will be an awesome platform for modding up. I smell 400hp with just tuning. Gee, I sure hope Ford has something crazy in store for the rumored 5.0 that the GT is supposed to be getting.......cuz if not I think the Ecoboost model might steal its thunder.

That's a good question. And probably one we won't get answered until the TT model is ready for production. But I'll say this, from what I'm reading one can expect the sixxer Camaro to be in the mid 20s range, at least. I don't see the Ecoboost Mustang being far from (if not equal to) that pricing. But....time will tell I guess. Either way, I see it as a good move on Ford's part to put together a Mustang with this engine. It should do quite well.

i like that mustang might get a more powerfull v6, but im kinda woried that it might kill off the v8'. iv bin hereing that they might just make the v6 and no v8.
