Ecoboost twin turbo V6 in a Mustang?
#31
I think the most realistic option will be that Ford will put the ecoboost in the base mustang soon 2011 or 12? The new 4v 5.0will go into the gt and either a s/c'ed version of that or the current 5.4 will go in the gt500.

I actually would like a TTV6 2011 Mustang and i was hopeing it did come out for the 2011 modle year as an option as i couldnt wait longer than that. I was actaully about to buy a Camaro just befor i heard that Ford might stick a TTV6 in the 2011 so i waited.
The reason i waited is because there was already a 2010 TTV6 Camaro that allowed you to switch off the turbosystem when u wanted to up your MPG rate. This Camaro had around 400+bhp with the twins on and 300+ as normal with them off.
and yes im talking about the Jay Leno car.

I am still hopeing Ford comes up with something similar as i did end up getting their Mustang V6 or at least a tunner like Shelby or the like. I like the idea of having the option to curse at 70mph while revving below 2k and getting like 30+ mpg in mild traffic and then switching the twins on to have a little high speed fun when there is little to no traffic at around 3am-6am in the morning xD.
This may sound odd but, i did buy the V6 Mustang for the handleing and the stablity at high speeds it had over its compition as i did actaully shop around (Test drove) for a well rounded "sports car" that was with in my price range. The 370z came close but at around 110+ I started to smell burning plastic inside the cabbin and i just wasnt as comfortable in it at high speed as the mustang, the camaro sales man went apesh1t when hit 90. . I was vary surprised with the 2011 Mustang and it became my vary first Ford car.
