The BIG question is.... will IT HAVE FORGED RODS??? If not 400hp, 32V's and 5 liters does me no better than my 3V..
Sure it does... cuz you can do all the bolt-ons with it throw in some cams and be over 400whp all motor ;-)

Naturally aspirated motors throw rods just like supercharged ones do. If this engine has the same weak powdered rods as the 3V it will definitely influence my decision to tradeup.

A little unusual to assume that the rods on a 400 hp motor are going to be of the same grade/strength as those on a 300 hp motor. I think the Coyote's rods will be a fair bit more heavy duty than the 3V 4.6.....even if they aren't forged (which I wouldn't hold my breath for).

Yeah, that would be logical. We'll see. My car is nearly paid for and I would hate to reinvest, taking a loss on the trade for a car that wouldn't be possible of 500+hp supercharged.

Agreed. I will wait for mine to be paid off. By then I should have a bit of money saved up and the 5.0 will have been out for a couple of years. I jumped onto the 3V S197 bandwagon early back in 05. I think I'll wait and jump in mid-game this time.

Besides, if the new motor produces close to or over 400 hp stock, I'll likely keep it NA. Don't really feel like doing the supercharged thing again. I'll just keep the 05 for that. The Coyote will probably be a pretty strong animal with full bolt-ons.

yeah, I was squirming my brains for a decision on this. take mine to stock and trade it for the 2011 GT and sell my aftermarket parts and buy a supercharger for the cash I make off the sold mods, or tighten the belt till 2012 in august when my car will be paid off, and buy a 2012 "year end event " with a really good deal..

I think I chose the wait till 2012.. because 2011 might have some bugs that will be worked out in the later models, get a good deal and catch that 0 % 72 months deal again.. can't beat that.

OR just say SCREW it, keep my stang and wait till 2015 to see the new body style lol
