Transformer mustang sold to VA Man
You guys are nuts. You talk like he was buying a car... when he was buying a collectible.
Obviously he had the money to spend and owning a part of that movie was important to him. It not about the Blue-book value of the ride. Geeez
By all of your logic, why by a Babe Ruth home run bat for $200.00 when you can get a perfectly good bat for $15.00 at Kmart.
LOL. You guys are a trip.

Personally, I would have gotten a 2012 SuperSnake at that price, with every trim and option included. Grey with matte black stripes, glass roof, and on and on.
But it is a collectible and in the future the price of the car will only be going up, and I do mean UP.
The main movie mustang cop car from the transformers series movies, it can't get much better than that in the Mustang hollywood collectible world.

Most people here can't get past the use of a mustang cept for it's supposed to just be used to run down the 1/4 track.
Do you have any idea how big those movies are? And using it for a good cause. Heck, movie props go for a LOT. if he had the money, cool. I'd probably do the same rather than "Saving for a 2014" or "usin the money to run 10's"

I saw one of the three cars up for sale about a month ago on ebay.... i wonder if it was this one? They were ind number saleen's ( i do know that much...they had #1 #2 #3 badgeing). Although 100k?, no thanks lol.
In other news, I saw in a car magize that one of two Camaro Yenko SS (tribute cars) seen in the movie 2Fast 2Furious driven by Paul Walker for was for sale 60K, seller was a museum who had the car on display. Personally, I would rather have save 40K and have that car.

100K is cheap considering what the car will be worth as the Transformer franchise continues (transformers 3 for example).
As it's been stated, if you have a 100K to drop on a collectible, you don't care about the physical item, it's the history of it and the condition.
Unlike Chevy that actually made a bumblee bee replica camaro (knock offs) that will be worth squat for the same reason (replica).
One of the forum members here built a replica Decepticon Saleen and drove it for a while. Can't remember who it was though...
