Much stronger in acceleration but fairly forgiving in the mileage department, with no difference to the insurance company.
I can't believe they are selling them with 2.73 gears. Even my 2010 v6 Premium has the 3.31 gears. And as I said earlier in the thread, get the V8. That's what I plan to do in 2014.

Default Manual transmission problems

Does anyone know if Ford is going to do anything different on the 2013 Gt, to address the problems with the six speed manual transmission.

I would definitely go with the GT just save some extra cash and you're good to go.
My wife's a 2011 V6 Auto with the optional 3.31 rear axle definitely has plenty of power. I took it to the track and it easily did 13.8 @ 102 mph on street tires, which includes a 2.2 60'. So, imagine how much quicker it would've been with some DRs.

I know I'm a bit off topic, but you guys are damn lucky.
You can get a brand new GT for $29 300. Here in Canada, the GT starts at $40 300. Can you believe this.
The Boss 302 for $40 300 vs $49 750, not too bad....
And the GT500 for $48 800. Here it's $60 550.
For the price of my V6, I'd get a GT. Almost.

Wife and I drove an 09 and 2010 GT, but they don't have what I am looking for in the 2011 5.0. But for practical reasons I have decided to go get the other want list vehicle first. Will be picking up a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now have to see if it will be a used Rubicon or a new Sport. Thanks for all the replies.
