Interesting, didn't know the tips were separate from the actual exhaust system (mufflers). A lot of cars have the "fake" tips actually though not sure which other high performance machines are the same.

auto manufactures have recently gone with a "modified ravioli can" exhaust tip, where they spray the exhaust into a metal sphere in the bumper to reverberate an artificial exhaust note. I first saw it on the dodge darts, thought it was trashy. now i see it on this beauty and i still think it's trashy.
