Here is what I heard. There will be 3 models of Challenger. A V6 which will be priced similar to the V6 stang. There will be a 5.7L Hemi V8 which will be priced about the same as the mustang GT and the SRT-8 which will have the 6.1 and cost about what the GT500 will go for.

a few things...every magazine that has done a piece about this has said "under 30 grand"....

the 6.1 charger isnt an rt, its an srt8...this is only the RT challenger...the srt8 is rumored to have the 500hp 6.4L hemi.

and its not competition orange..thats a ford color...this is chalenger orange..its pearl metallic...im water marking my pictures right now...it was empty enough yesterday, that i even got a 90 second walk around video of the challenger..

That thing is beautiful. My soon to be wife will be needing a new car in the next couple of years hmmmm... I really want them to come back with the firebird. Big fan of the 72/73 body styling.

Well looks like I will be jumping ship...lol. If I could get my hands on an SRT-8 when they come out I will, unless the GT500 is still kickin around. I guess I will have to see, which is more of a performer..

there is no srt8 just yet, but dodge does have a 6.4L, 500hp hemi...that they arent using...its just available as a crate motor...the autoshow had one of those motors in a 72 challenger...maybe some foreshadowing?

I've heard about that being a possible upgrade from the 6.1L. We can only hope! Dodge has their head on straight with this concept and the power choices (AND the torque...jeezus). Hopefully, they won't put their head back up their butt like they did with the Charger. It would be a crying shame if this concept didn't make it to production.

They're saying 35K to start & I'd drop that much in a heartbeat. Sometimes, room is important to a muscle car owner. I've got 2 kids & my youngest is running out of room in the 'stang - FAST. The Challenger would provide plenty of ***** & giggles for the driver, as well as being able to carry around the kiddies. Seems like a win/win to me.
