Ranger is one hell of a driver. Give him a few runs in the Gt and I bet it wil be running faster than any times we have read in magazines. the only problem with the GT, is that is so damn heavy. Why would Ford not make this car 3200 lbs?

10.85 @129.50. And all this car has is drag radials. Not slicks like the mustang. It even has the stock air filter. When someone says a car is stock, it means there are no mods whatsoever. This car doesnt even have a tune. If he got a tune, and ful exhaust, and some sort of cold air induction, plus the nitrous, I bet this z06 would be faster than that GT500. I am not real familiar with the GT500, but it mentions in the video, that he is using a 2.5" pulley. Is that the stock size? From the video you can see it has racing seats, I wonder if the rest of the interior is gutted. Dont get me wrong, the car is extrememly fast, but I just wish people wouldnt say the car is stock when is has a bunch of mods.
You missed my point Red. It doesn't say the car is stock. It says the engine, tranny, and S/C are stock. In other words, they are the exact same engine, tranny, and S/C as came on the car from the factory. Yes, it obviously had mods. It sure as hell wouldn't have run in the 9's otherwise. You will never see a 100% stock anything with Evolution Performance written on it.
My car is lightly modded, but the engine is still 100% stock because I haven't done a thing in the world to it. I still have the stock block, pistons, crank, heads, valves, cams... everything. Hell, I even still have the stock throttle body and plenum. That is what they mean when they say stock engine, tranny and S/C. Sure they did a pulley swap, but it is still the stock S/C from the factory. Had they swapped it for a KB or a Whipple then they couldn't say stock S/C anymore because the S/C obviously wouldn't be the one that came on it stock from the factory.

I'm not trolling, just pointing out facts. Oh and try to get a GT500 for sticker price. Dealers are marking them up as much as $20,000. I like mustangs, I have had several of them. But when someone says something is stock, it should be.

So in NASCAR all the "stock cars" should be stock? How boring would that race be if there were a bunch of stock Monte Carlos and Taurus' running around the track at a blazing 120 MPH? Or in Pro Stock drag racing if there were a bunch of stock cars running 16 second 1/4 mile passes?
I think your definitions of stock might be different than what was meant by "stock" in the video.

Hey a nice car is a nice car. If you want to complain about it feel free to go to a corvette site and complain that the mustang guys are cheating, because I think we all agree stock or not the car is nice.

what in the world are you talking about, its not our fault ford could not get the #'s that gm and dodge can out of a naturally aspirated engine, so they had to throw a supercharger on there, and don't talk about gas mileage, when the new ls7 427 still 25 to 28 mpg if not more.

Well smitdog, I'm not sure if you were talking to me or red50stang, but I will respond by saying that I am sure Ford could just as easily get those numbers out of an N/A car if they would produce a 7.0L engine. But for whatever reason, Ford prefers to use smaller displacement S/C'd engines to get the big numbers.

sticker for sticker dude. you know you couldn't get a C6 zo6 for sticker the first 6 months they were out either.

And by the way, when evolution performance tell's you all the mods on the car, and at the begining they simple state that the motor, trans and blower are factory. not that the car is untouched. they want people to know everything done to the car. they're developing shelby performance packages.
