Default wiring problems

i got my new moroso battey kit which isn't a problem, since i already have a summit one in there.what my problem is i confused myself with the battery/alternator disconnect
switch!!i bought the summit switch, and the painless wiring kit for the switch.
my first problem is locating the switch....can i drill through the middle of my license plate?
i really don't want to put it on the side of my car.....the other problem is the wiring.
one wire goes to my alternator.the second wire goes to the battery side of the switch
and the last wire goes to the starter side of the switch.....thats my problem can i run a wire from the starter sillinoid/starter side to the switch or do i have to run a wire directly from the starter to the switch?if someone that knows how to hook one up your help will
be appretiated.

Can you link me to a pic or a schematic so I can see what your talking about. I don't understand why you want a switch on the outside of your car, but can you use one of the license plate screws instead of drilling through the center of the plate.
