I need a little advice. We are looking at the exhaust on my vette and trying to decide what to do. It currently has some nice chambered headers on it and pipes out the back.. no mufflers of any type. My question is.... we are going to be replacing the pipes from the headers back soon (they are ancient), think I should muffle it at all? Its a pretty loud car.. almost as loud as un-muffled side pipes.
Couple of videos (in car and out of car).. what do you think?
Loud pipes for the win. Especially on an old vette. I put side pipes on the 76 my wife used to own. They sounded great
Nice lookin c-3 btw!
The chambered headers that are on it sound a LOT like side pipes do... thats about the volume level its at... except without the badass look of side pipes.. haha.

Anyways, thanks pro!
They cam e from JC Whitney. We did some research on corvette forums and went w/ the ones a few ppl recommended. Worked out great.
Slap a set of them on. It wasn't hard to do at all. Just gotta watch out for the "shark bite" after they're on.
Have you considered going with a muffler for cruising, then installing some QTP cutouts for when you want LOUD?
Just click the link in my sig (it takes you to the photobucket page).
And Pro,
I would consider it if they werent 900 bucks! Side pipes are crazy expensive!! Ive ridden in a side pipe car.. I think I still have a scar on the back of my leg from getting out to prove it.. haha
