RE: 2006 c6 vs moded 03 cobra
I got the lattest hot rod magazine and they had the new 427 all aluminum small block (LS7) that is used in the new Z06, it is under rated. The motor was dynoed at 546hp at 6100rpm and 514ft.lbs at 4900rpm the motor redlines at 7000rpm. With a cam and headers it makes 600hp at 6800rpm and 526ft.lbs at 4800rpm. Thats sick for stock, and a car that weights about 3200lbs. The cobra makes about 575hp with bolt ons and stock supercharger, but the car weights 3666lbs. Plus traction and gear ratios in the trans and rear effect it.

Wow. I thought this would have died by now. Unforuntely I didn't get my whipple supercharger for Christmas so don't expect any rematches. No point in making any excuses. I know my driving was sub-par. Even if I drove perfectly and the car was making full power, we suspect it wasn't, I still would have lost. Oops that was an excuse wasn't it. Anyway despite my major loss I hope you all enjoyed watching. I'm not afraid to post such a kill, even if I do get flamed, which I did elsewhere. I was just out having fun with friends.
