Default On again, off again Mustang fan.

Hey everyone, looks like a pretty good site here. Constant Datsun person, own a modified 74 Z, always into Fords as well. Owned a 68 J-code Mustang but couldn't afford to resotre it while I was in college and it never had a motor anyways. Recently sold my junk everyday Alero and got a PT Cruiser for the space when my friend sold it to me. Turns out my fiancee likes to drive it alot so we've pretty much swapped cars, me taking her Mustang. I was more than happy to do this considering the way she drives a stick shift, I would have had to put in a clutch in another 4k miles if she kept up her habits. But I didn't say that last part.

Her/my car is a '00 v6 Mustang convertible with a 5 speed. Never really paid much attention to the car or drove it too often, but really been getting into it lately. It's not super fast and never will be, but it's been a blast at stop lights against winged Civics. Looking for some upgrades now that it's hitting 80k miles and stuff is needing to be replaced. Hope to get some advice and help people along the way, always been an novice mechanic.

Personally, if you're looking for simple stuff to do.

Performance wise- Intake and Exhaust no doubt about it. With the exhaust make sure its True Dual Exhaust. If you're looking to put some money in the car, it has a lot of potential. It all depends on what you want to do.

ANd plus everyone here throws ideas at you so you'll figure it out.

Welcome to the forums. Did you put a cold air intake on it yet? Thats a simple upgrade that doesn't cost alot of $$$ to start with.

thanks for the greeting guys. yeah, a 5 speed girl is a keeper. just put a $25 ebay intake on my pt cruiser and it sounds good even on that thing. should work even better on the mustang.
