Default New Guy in NY

LI new guy here. First 'Stang, as I have been mostly GM guy. I don't care much for the "us versus them" debates. I love all cars and own all makes. I did trade a 95 Impala SS to get an '04 GT 5-speed.

Just wanted to say hello. I usually do more reading and searching than posting, and LI is very Mustang and Corvette heavy, so I'm sure nobody in my area needs more friends (especially one with a stock (for now) GT daily-driver.

Best,

Kevin

As a daily-driver, I am only planning on doing the intake & exhaust, the shifter, and a set of wider wheels for the not-snowy seasons.
...let's see if I can get a picture up here...

I liked the SS. It was just time to move on to something else. The car was roomy, but floaty. Now that my sons are a little older (6 and 5), they can climb into the back seat on their own, so I don't need the 4-door anymore. We usually take the family truckster (or mini-vanster) when we're going somewhere together, so even my daily driver sees limited action. I have a few other weekend cars and projects also, so I wanted a cool everyday car. I am not an SUV guy.

BTW, not to hi-jack my own thread, but is my color Redfire or Crimson Red? I was under the impression that Crimson Red was only for the Anny versions with the gold stripes and wheels. But, then again, why would Ford make two colors so similar, especially if they are trying to push the Anny version before the launch of the new bodystyle? I haven't found (or really looked) for the RPO codes yet, as it has rained every day since I've gotten the car. Hopefully this weekend I'll get out there and give her the Meguiar's massage and shoot out to the beach on Sunday morning (for the OBI gathering). Any LI folks going out? I was there two weeks ago in my '88 Trans Am GTA. It was packed at 7:30AM. Crazy, but a lot of awesome cars (saw a new Hertz actually).
