First car, First Mustang (69 Mach 1)
Hey everyone! I just got my first car on sunday. It is a 1969 Mach 1 M code (351w with 4-barrel carb) with automatic transmission. I'm am so excited to work on this car with my father over the summer and so on. The paint needs obvious repainting, but in general the car is in great shape. It has all it's origional body panels, no accidents, very very straight car. It has been in california all it's life and only has one very tiny spot of rust near the rear window. The interior is all there and the seats are origional. There are rips and tears along the seems of the seats, so it needs repairing or even replacement.
This should be a fun project, and I absolutely love the car! I've been looking for a mustang for a while now, so now my dream is a reality. Sorry for the poor photos, will get better one's eventually.
I look forward to be with this community, looks like a great place! I hope to learn a lot here.

Congrats! Should be fun to work on together. '69 is one of my favorite Mustangs mainly because my best friend in high school had one for his first car. I've always been partial to the aggressive look of the front end. Keep us updated with pics as you bring it back to life.

And, if you have any questions, you can ask those over in the classic section, they'll help you out.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Yes I was browsing through the classic section, and there is definitely lots of information, and great people to get advice from. When I have a question I'll be sure to ask.
Today my dad and I are gonna start taking apart the engine because the head gaskets need to be replaced. Should be fun.

Can't beat that for a first car!
My first was a 1968 GT/CS. 289 needed work so I swapped it with a 302 with upgraded internals and a holley 4bbl carb (kept the 289 of course since the serials matched). Lots of fun. Enjoy yours.

Thanks everyone! What price would you all be willing to pay for that car. We just want to make sure we paid right
Well here's some engine shots! The engine is absolutely bone-stock.
and now after a days work....
