New here. Pontiac GTP
Hi, I'm new here and am desiring to learn about Mustangs in general.
Probably interested in what I drive...
99 Grand Prix GTP with some bolt ons that get me into mid-high 13's. Plan on low 13's and then quitting till I run the car into the ground.
What my family-in-laws have. Three Cobras and one GT. Brother in law is about to purchase a 88-94 5.0 as well.
I've only raced one Mustang. 6 cylinder... none the less I put on multiple car lenghths. I'd like to try out a GT soon! (older body style of course)

Wow, that's pretty fast for a FWD, how's your fuel mileage? Older style, as in '79-'93? Or '94-'04? Given your current car is a '99, I'd imagine you'd like to have a 'newer' car, right? '99-'04 GT are lots of fun(for the price especially) and run pretty close to the numbers you stated your GTP runs, maybe a tenth or so off(depending on driver skill) with manual tranny. I've raced several '99-'04 GTs with my '05 GT and they're fast, about 3-5 car lengths behind depending on driver-so far, but above 100mph it seems as if someone pulled their plug out. I'm talking purely stock New Edge cars here, so read before you get angry New Edge owners. That's all moot though because with a '02-'04 New Edge 'Stang for about 9-12K in great shape and 2-5K in enhancements, you'd have a low 13/high 12 everyday machine. Take that Camaro guys! Plus the aftermarket for any '79 & up Mustang and you see why we're all here! Have fun,
and good luck with learning more about Mustangs.

Thanks a lot guys for the welcome. I've been on a crusie this weekend, so I didn't have a chance to respond!
I'm getting about 23 MPG according to my DIC in the dash.
I enjoy the pep of my car and look foward to learning about Mustangs (My wife keeps bothering me for one...)
