Hi,
My name is Zach White, I'm 17, from MD and just purchased my first car yesterday. I bought a brand new 04 mustang with a 3.9l six. Its an automatic, not my first choice but I'm very happy with car. The car is Torch Red with the old cobra style hood, I guess its the new standard one on the v6 stang. I'm actually not to familiar with many modern cars. I'm actually more of a mopar (chrysler) man myself but I like many cars from fomoco and gm. I'm really into muscle cars and spend most of my saterdays that I don't work at the local drag strip watching bracket races. I plan on making cars my life. In september I am going to start Lincoln Technical institutes to train to be an Automotive Service Technician.
I have a few questions about my car that I hope could be answered here. I was wondering what is the displacement of the 3.9l and 3.8l engine in cu. in. Is there any difference in fwhp or whp and torque between the 2 engines. At some point I want to up grade my exaust but I would want it to sound kind of like a v8 not a ricer. What sound would I get if I just upgraded the exhaust?
