Default New Guy

Hi! I' new to Mustang Forums. My name is Dave, I have a 64 1/2 Mustang Convertible 289 4v, 4 speed red with white top. I have spent the last several years restoring the car. Have shown it several time locally and won several plaques for best Mustang and show winner. Anyway I have an issue I have been trying to solve for years. When I decoded the door plate, it came from a coupe, evidently somewhere along the line the car door was changed for some unknown reason, probably a fender bender.

the information I have been able to recreate for the door plate is as follows:

5F08D116512

This would indicate 1965 Dearborn CVT 289v Reg plus the consecutive unit number.

I need the build date to complete the restoration of the door plate.

Body 75A Color J Trim 86-2 Date???? DSO 53 Axle 1 Trans 5

Vehicle Warrant Numbe 5FO8D116512

Can anyone help me with a source for this information. I have been told there is a Mustang Production Guide, but I can't find one.

Thanks diecastdave
