Default new guy needs help already

i just bought an 84 stang with all 90' body so it looks like the 90 gt. it is a carb'd 302 with an edelbrock carb. it is running very rich. a lot of people tell me to get a holley carb is that true

How about just tuning the carb u got?

yeah, try to tune the carb first.

If you have no clue about this, find someone who can help you, there is an adjustment screw on the side of the carb, you need to adjust it to the point of too rich, then back a certain amount, which depends on the model of carb.

welcome to the forums and change the main jets in the Edelbrock carb if it is really running that rich and you will be fine!
