Well, went in for an oil change on my torch red 05 V6 and left with an 07 GT. I was sad to see my baby go, but the GT with the big bow on the showroom floor kept calling me over to her! It's been a while since I drove a stick ... not since my 85 1/2 944 ... but after a couple of weeks I think I'm getting the hang of it. Still nervous getting out of 1st though when cars are line up behind me at the light. I guess that's because everyone's looking at my car... ! Having a blast though. My 05 lasted only a couple of days on the used car lot. Another woman bought her, so I know she went to a good home.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello to all my fellow stangers out there. I've been reading this forum since I bought my 05 in 2004. I've learned so much from this forum ... and found that I have a lot in common with ya'll, like the fuel fill-up shut off. Happened in my 05 a lot and happens in my 07 too. Small price to pay for such a fine ride so I don't complain about it.

Thanks. Yeah, it seems as though if I take my time I get out of 1st a lot better. Once I'm out of 1st, look out! I now look forward to getting up in the mornings and driving to work.
