Back in the Saddle
Hey all. Might as well make my first post here an intro.
I recently purchased a 2003 GT Vert True Blue 5 speed. It's got the full load and only 20k miles. I've been wanting another Mustang for a few years now but kids.....and well most everything else, took priority. This one came up locally at the Ford dealership for a good winter price. I looked at it, mint shape. The wife went down the next day, pretended like she didn't care about it, which wasn't a stretch, and just started to haggle the price. She got them down another $3000. When she came home and told me the deal she worked out, well geez.... I was just turning 40 and the car makes for a pretty good gift and the start to my mid-life crisis.
I previously had an '86 GT 5spd, fun car that I babied. Had it from '88 to '96 and sold it cuz, well, I don't really know. I swore I'd get another some day and it'd be a convertible so here I am.
The new car is parked for the winter so I don't get to play with it savefor the internet where I can get some crazy ideas of the mods I want to make. It alreadyhas a CAI and exhaust so all I really want is some 18" wheels and maybe a little lowering. It's a family cruiser car so no racing mods for me.
BTW my wife got to drive the car before we parked it and has come around. She really likes the blue/parchment colour combo and the ladies she works with were drooling over it. They are talking about taking it on a summer shopping spree to the outlet malls between here and Seattle. I guess they don't realize that the trunk isn't that big.
