new to forums
hey everybody! i just joined the other day and wanted to stop in and make an introduction. my name is john, i currently drive a 95 honda civic with a b16 motor swap with a few bolt ons. but in a year or so, i plan on trading it in and spending some of my saved money on an 04 mustang gt 5 speed. tired of the ricer sound and wanting that torque! lol. but ya, hope to be a stang owner soon!
Welcome aboard! Excellent choice ... which '04 GT do you wish to get? Coupe/convertible? What color exterior/interior? Oooooo, maybe a 40th Anniversary GT? (I'm kinda partial to special edition models myself!)
yea, im really looking forward to getting it too. senior in high school right now, i have a couple grand saved up for a down payment and i just started my new job with my friend ryan at Tires Plus working many hours a week, so hopefully i'll be able to afford it, lol. looking to get a coupe probably, but prefer convertible, black exterior black interior, and 40th anniversary would be nice, will see if i can find one around here.
Awesome! Just remember, every 2004 Mustang has a little commemorative 40th anniversary badge on the front fenders. Don't confuse this with the actual 40th Anniversary GT. The real 40th Anniversary GT came in a choice of 3 colors: Black, Oxford White, and exclusive 40th Anniversary Crimson Red (a much deeper, richer, better looking metallic red than Redfire Metallic, imho). The 40th Anniversary GT also came with dual gold (Arizona Beige Metallic) stripes on the hood, decklid, and rockers; matching AZ Beige Metallic painted Bullitt GT wheels; hood scoop; rear fender scoops; painted foldable side mirrors (like the Cobra); and no spoiler (which is interesting that they chose this look on a GT). The interior in all 40th Anniversary GT Mustangs is Medium Parchment leather with special "Fortieth Anniversary" logo embroidered on the carpeted floor mats, aluminum-look center stack, aluminum shift **** (on manuals), and special brushed aluminum "Fortieth Anniversary" badge on the center console. On a 40th Anniversary GT convertible, the drop top uses the same high quality canvas cloth as the Cobra (regular GT convertibles use a vinyl top), and it was only available in Parchment (to match the interior).
However, a triple black GT convertible always looks hot! Just remember that there hasn't been a true black interior since '98. It's been Dark Charcoal since '99 (only the 35th Anniversary GT in '99 had a true black interior matched with black leather seats with silver leather inserts).

my knowledge in the american area is somewhat limited, ive been mainly studying up on hondas and other imports the past couple years, lol. looks like i have a lot of new things to learn. but yea, the dark charcoal is what id be going for. thanks for the info tho!
