Default NEWBIE QUESTIONS

I don't know if i'm alone on this, but I don't know nearly as much as you guys about cars.
I made thispost so that we can post questions in here (that's not in the FAQ)and hopefullyget them answered by people that know the answers. So if ya have any questions just post it in here.

1) Why do 2005 V6 Mustang's speedometers only go up to 120MPH? My mother's Camry even goes to 140 and i know my car's faster.

2) Does lowering your car enhance itsperformance or is it just for looks

By the way here's my car:

Hmmm....good questions. I do recommend you post in the 2005-2007 section vs here....since this is the new member section.

Your speedometer question made me look at my three vehicles' speedometer. This is what I found:

2006 Stang GT - goes to 140 MPH
2004 Ford Expedition (V8) - goes 120 MPH (not sure I want to drive that beast past 80-90 MPH anyway.
1999 Ford Ranger (V6) - goes to 120 MPH (this one I have driven to 100 MPH and it's NOT fun)

So, why your V6 only goes to 120 MPH seems to follow Ford's trend. I am sure some others will chime in with additional information. Which , by the way, I would be also interested in knowing.

As to the question about lower car and performance..I am clueless. But, I bet our folks in the 05-07 section will be more than happy to provide feedback.
