Default Need Some Help!?!

Ok well as you may know my name is Josh. Im a 16yr old kid who has recently bought a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe..... It has a 200cubic inch straight 6 engine it is also automatic. Now I have a couple of friends and family telling me to do different things. Like dropping a 302 v8 replace the headers exaust and put in a 5 speed transmission. With a glass pack cherry bomb. Now in the other ear, is all the old timers telling me that the car should be fully restored week by week as I get the money. Keeping the value of the car up. And also they are telling me that my car was built for my engine. Not a 302 or a 289 hypo. What should I do.

i had a 68 coupe, 200ci, 3speed manual.

i say keep it a 6 and concentrate on show, more
than go

the 6 will never let you down, rain, sleet or snow

Welcome Josh!

Come on over to the classic section, there is a ton of information already there, and if you can't find what you are looking for I can pretty much guarantee someone will be able to help you with any other questions you have.

I think the most important thing to do to your car is what *you* want to do. It's your car, everyone is going to have an opinion, but ultimately, you are the one that needs to be happy with it.

Oh yeah, once you get to the classic section... post pictures![:-]
