My Story
Hey All,
New here and wanted to say hello andshare my story. I have been interested in a mustang since the 05 came out. Well, on Thursday, I bought a 2006 GT with 14k on it. I was literally getting ready to leave the dealershipwhen a lady and her husband pulled up in a 2006 Black GT Premium. To make a long story short they traded in her mustang on a 300 and I bought the GT. It was late and the dealership was getting ready to close so I told my salesman to detail it and I would pick it up on Friday. Friday after work,I went to pick up my new ride. I could see it sitting in front of the dealership all nice and shiny from the road. As I pulled in the parkig lot, facing my new ride, I noticed a goose egg dent right in the front of the hood. As you can imagine...I was pretty pissed too say the least. My salesman told me he was filling it up with gas and someone backed into him.
They told me they had a brand new hood in stock and they would paint it( they do have and excellent body shop,my buddy hadpaint work there before)and have it ready for me on Monday. After I calmed down, I told them if they paint a double 10" stripe on the front and rear bumper, deck lid, roof and hood, I would take it if the paint matches. They said OK. They also gave me a 2006 Red Corvette too drive until Tuesday or Wedesday when my car is ready. I must say...I was really upset but my whole transaction with the dealership was a good experience (with the exception of the goose egg) and they really did treat me good.
Anyway, I'm getting the dbl. 10" grey stripe painted on with 3 coats of clear or free. I look forward to learning a lot from this great forum and wish you all the best.
