Default New MBR

To whom it may concern,

I figure I might as well start my research now, I am currently driving a 2004 M3 and in about a year I am looking to get rid of it, first two years with it went well but it has been down hill the last few, anyways I am looking to get a New 07 or 08 GT, I have personally never owned a mustang but have owned a few Fords. My mind has been made up on the mustang though and need to get some insight on what some of my options are, I will planto do a full motor rebuild onthis car, maybe a mild aero kit, a full suspension, and a big break upgrade, this car will be nothing more than a fun summer car not a daily driver, simply it will be my next toy. Any insight would be greatly apriciated.

Welcome to MF. Not sure what options you are looking of but to want to buy a "new" 07 or 08 Mustang "under warranty" and then tearing down the motor doesn't make much sense. Your description sounds like you need to buy a Saleen or Roush car already upgraded and still all warranty coverage. Remember that new cars come with 'new motors' so you don't need to rebuild them quite yet. If you want to tear down a car maybe an older Mustang thats out of warranty and needs a motor rebuild to begin with.

thanks for the welcoming guys, Im not much of a warenty person, and definatly not much of a stock guy I hear ya on maybe an older one but i couldnt go any older than 05 I love the new body style and before that the only one i likes was the 88-93 ane then Id have to go back to the 70's, now on motor work Im top-notch but body work I dont have any desire to work with, I will look into the other forums around here and fish around to see whats goign on but im looking to stroke out a 4.6 to a 5.2 and some sort of F/I I know this can cause a debate to why dont you just get a 5.8 or this or that but my main idea is to do something outside the norm, its always fun to be a little skewed from the mainstream
