Hi from yet another new guy (pics added finally)
Hey everyone, I am the new owner of a 1980 hatchback with the 2.3 n/a in it. A friend at work was trying to get rid of his parts car (only took some of the interior) and told me I could come haul it off for scrap and keep what I got from it.
Once going over the car I quickly realized that I couldnt scrap it, other than the the interior the only items that need some work is a new motor and some paint. I quickly put aside thoughts of just throwing in a motor and driving it out the window. My plans are to do a custom resto job on it, I want it to appear stock with just a few subtle touches.
I'll be doing a good bit more reading and searching, and will prob go ahead and appologize if I ask any stupid questions. All my mechanic expertise has involved either aircraft or 4x4's, so I'm pretty new to the stang's.

RE: Hi from yet another new guy
Thx for the welcome. I will have to find where my wife has hid the camera, as we have 3 little ones that love playing with it. I'll warn you before hand that she, the car, is a bit rough around the edges, I have already started gutting the interior so the onlything left on the inside is the dash and steering wheel heh.

Ok here are some shots of the old girl. Its kinda rough right now but got alot of ideas floating around.
Just remember it only cost me the gas to get it and labor to load it on the trailer so far heh.
