05 Stang
hi everybody. I came to this site looking for some answers, & informationon my 05 Stang GTI've had just over a week. Never was a Ford guy. First car I drove was my sisters boyfriend 59 Vette, punched out 327 fuel injected. Scared the crap-ola outa me but then again I was only 14 & the bug bit me when it pinned me back in the seat when I hit 2nd gear. I was pretty much a Chevy dude after that. My dad was a Mopar guy, taught me how to drive in his 1957 Plymouth Fury, 318, factory 2-4s, push button automatic, I was 12 then--long time back. Anyway last week I traded my 02 Mitsubishi Spider GT convertible in on a 05 Stang Gt, low miles, belonged to a girl in Newport Beach I think. I'm the 2nd owner. It has low milage, seems to run great & looks awsume. I plan to post a couple pics if there not to big for this site. Its a 5-speed, shaker-500 tunes, 4.6. I've gotten a repair manual for it & been reading everything I can about it as I do with all my cars
The only thing I want to know now is how do ya turn off those d*mn datlight driving lights!! All the lights (head, tail, sides) come on during the day. Is there a resistor or something I can pull or is it in the computer?? I'm still feeling her out, back & fourth to work. Haven't had a chance to ring her out yet. I plan to change the shifter over to maybe a Hurst, shorten the throw some. Seems to be a great car, rides nice. Doesn't have that "clunk" in the front end I keep reading about, exh. sounds awsume. Well I'm going to keep reading about her & if someone can give me a heads-up on those daylight driving lights I'd be forever greatfull---later
