And another new GT Owner..
First post. Stopped from driving my new toy around long enough to make it (have been reading posts here a few days though).
Yesterday I picked up my new baby from the lot of a local dealership. Its a GT, black exterior/crimson red leather interior. Manual transmission (would have prefered auto, but they are scarce here - not to mention another $1k).
She has the standard 17" painted aluminum wheels, spoiler, Shaker 500, active anti-theft, interior color accent pkg, interior upgrade package (MyColor), and wheel lock kit.
They wouldn't budge one bit off of sticker. Infact, they had other buyers lined up for it (literally). MSRP was $27,335. I added Lojack and window tinting for our hot Texas summers.
She's fun to drive - though its been 20 years since I've driven a manual tranny. Got the feel of it again - still a bit hesitant from a start but its coming back. I do wish she was an auto - but the manual does have its fun moments no doubt. Fortunately I have a new job so my commute changed from 30 miles of major downtown Dallas commute to 8 miles inside of Plano.

RE: And another new GT Owner..
welcome to the forums.
I was actually born in Dallas, Texas (only stayed till I was 3 tho). I go down there every couple of years, went last year right around this time.
Anyways manuals are sweet, once you get used to it again you'll forget about stupid autos

I will....eventually She has yet to drive it. She hasn't driven a manual in 20 years either and she knows I'd get a bit freaky with her relearning on the Stang...need to find someone with a stick for her to play with I guess - oh my, that ain't right....
