Hey everyone, im about to turn 18 years old and finishing up my last year in high school. I just bought a 2002 Stang GT, 4.6L V8, 5 speed, with only 24,000 miles on it, its True Blue with Tan Leather interior, and is a whole lot of fun, except for in the snow of course. Im workin my *** off to pay for the car, but its my dream car, so its worth it. Does anyone know if exhaust will void the factory warranty, and what other mods will?? I've heard that even the smallest engine mods will void it, true?? I have a BBK X-Pipe waiting to be installed, but otherwise its stock. Except for upgraded audio, which i might get rid of, its starting to seem...not very "Stangish." I've only been browsing these forums for about a week or so, and they're unbelievably helpful already. congratulations good pick i fell in love with my first stang too and as for the warranty exaust shouldnt void the warranty but you should see what you can order through ford

I know that on most cars you can only install a Cat-back system on it without voiding the warranty. That's how it is on my 04 Spyder. You can also install a K&N filter. Not much in the way of mods that can keep the warranty.

Welcome. Catback exhuast might be covered, and mid pipe might not because your removing the stock cats. I really dont know, i did both and was just to hell with it.
