Hi. My name is Eric. I'm a new mustang addict

I bought a new '07 GT Premium convertible last Saturday. I've wanted one for awhile now, probably since the 2005's came out. In May my Ford dealer loaned me a V6 convertible for a parade, and I was sold. The V6 had plenty of power, but I decided if I was going to buy one it had to be a V8. I finally found one with the IUP and 18" wheels that was a demo for a price that didn't strain the budget, so I took the plunge. I was wise not to test drive a V8 until I was ready to buy because I would have sold the wife and kids just to get one. I love this car!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it as far as mods, but I've got plenty of time to plan. My son has his permit and will have a license next year, and wants to get an 00-04 coupe when he can afford it (he's not going near mine!)

Welcome to the Forums. Pretty soon you will start getting into the modding. I bought my 07 in March, and am already adding a Supercharger this weekend. Enjoy the Stang. You'll never get tired of it. What part of Chi-town are you from? I moved to mount prospect, but grew up in Lincol Square and Ravenswood.

I live in the western suburbs, near La Grange.

I drove it in the rain last night for the first time, and I'm impressed. My other car is an '04 Expedition, and with the lousy Conti tires it came with, the truck can't get any traction when the pavement is wet, even with a locking diff. With the Mustang, I had to work hard to get the tires to break loose, with and without the traction control.

Welcome to the forum Eric.
I've been lurking in these forums for a couple months, and it was the picture of your car in your sig that pushed me over the edge to get a black 'vert. I originally wanted a yellow (used) or candy apple red 'vert, but the more I looked at your car, the more I wanted a black car. I wish I could have found one with a cloth top, but the rest of the car is exactly what I wanted.
