Default Getting ready to buy a gt

Hey guys im new to the board and i have a few questions. I am a previous fox body owner but anywho. I got a question on the 96-98 gts. I have a 96 gt 5speed on hold at a lot and have been browsing autotrader to compare prices. I have recently seen the post on 96-98 gts being *** slow due to heads ect.. My quetion is should i go with this 96gt or should i pursue getting a 94-95 model with the 5.0 in it. I am not willing to spend more than 6k due to im getting ready to buy a house and this car is for pure pleasure and a 2nd driver. Plz any comments suggestions etc.. will help me a ton due to the fact i need to get something asap. Thx again guys

Welcome to the forums. Personally, i'd buy another fox body if my budget was 6k. There's not much i like about the 94-98 gts. Good luck!

Ya but i have already done the fox body thing i like the 94-98 body style myself. Reason i was asking is due to performance related issues the whole non-pi heads thing with the 96-98 gts being *** slow becuase of them is my thing. I dont wanna have to go out and buy 99gt heads ect.. to have a somewhat fast car i mean 205 hp for a mustang is sad. Anywho i thought i would be better off maybe getting the 5.0 in this body style Am i wrong here? Plz someone give me an idea pros cons etc.. on the 94-95 with 5.0 or 96-98 with 4.6 lol thx and remeber im looking pure performance here. thx again.
