Default any advise

My names mike and im fixing to build a street/strip mustang and need all the help i can get. I have found a 93 hatchback lx and a late 80s coupe for very good prices but cant decide which one would be better for my application. I want to be able to drive the car daily but also be able to tear up the strip on the weekend. I already have a 390ci motor to go in it but i dont know what it will take to make it hook up in the car or get traction. Also im on a pretty tight budget with this project so any tips or links would be helpful. thanks

Well the coupe will be lighter and have a little less flex in the body. I would get underneath both cars and check the torque boxes for damage. I would suggest at least the basic suspension mods and very sticky tires. You will def. need subframe connectors plus upper/lower control arms and maybe some better springs/shocks. I always order all my stuff from summit racing. You cant beat their prices and my orders are always at my door next day and the customer service is unbelievable. And welcome to the forums
