I'm new on the forum but long into Mustangs! Had a 96 GT convertible that was totaled on the way to the Outer Banks of NC. Took the insurance check and bought a new 98 Cobra Convertible. Still driving it and have done a fair amount of aftermarket.

Great to have a place to learn from.

I'm a novus regarding the terminology, but this is what I've had done so far. I took #1 right from the bill I payed for (while taking a shot of Jack);


1. DSS Super-Pro Bullit Short Block B. Forged pistons, 4340 forged steel H-beam connecting rods w/ ARP rod bolts, race prepped forged crank. Includes ARP main studs and has been blueprinted, torque-plate honed, deck equalized and checked for alignment.

2. Performance Value job

3. 42# injectors

4. Vortech cool air induction super-charger (approx 13-14psi) w/ Sure grip blower pulley.

5. Performance throttle body

6. High performance clutch and 4.10 rear-end.

7. Re-built suspension including control arms and frame stiffening (it's a convertible)

So tell me what I should focus on next? The obvious one is upgrade the exhaust! My guy tells me that will be worth 30-45hp. What else? I'm looking for ideas.
