New member, first time owner
I just got my first stang yesterday. I test drove a red GT a couple weeks ago and had been looking for one with all the options I wanted in a color I liked ever since (Sonic Blue, Redfire, Black, or Mineral Grey).
I lucked out on an internet search of my state (Nebraska) and found a GT with exactly the options I wanted on it. When I went in to look at it, they told me it was not yet on the lot, but would be there around 3/7. I went ahead and test drove a V6 just for the heck of it. I ended up buying the GT that was on order, and it came in Friday 3/4 and picked it up yesterday. Wow, less than a week wait for one built just for me
It had 12 miles on it.
Just thought it was pretty cool to get one so quick that was just what I wanted without the wait. I had to trade in my silver SRT-4 because I couldn't afford both cars. I'll miss the sunroof, and the cupholder location sucks, but everthing else is pure bliss.

Welcome to the forums, sounds like you are one of the lucky ones that got the car that they wanted in a very short time. Enjoy the 05 and the forums, time to start modding that 05!!!!

The only thing I wasn't sure about is the rims. After seeing pics like 1fast05gt's above, I'm was convinced I didn't want the upgraded rims. At least on black, I like the regular rims better that the upgraded ones.
Thanks to all on this site, I got tons of info and it helped me make my decision of what I wanted.
I'll start really small with some simple things mods and maybe some day I'll get a small supercaharger for a little extra power. Looks like I'll be eating Ramen noodle soup for the next few years

My insurance will only go up $4 per month. I think it's because my SRT4 already had high rates so I won't even notice that small difference.
There's a red GT on a lot near me that I test drove. Glad I didn't buy it with 300+ miles already on it, 10 or so of which were from me. Funny how some places can't get rid of em and other can't get enough. If you preorder good luck, I'd say it's worth the wait but since I didn't have to wait...[8D]
