i am looking to fully restore the car. I plan to run a stroker and cant decide on a t5 or auto trans. I am open to all ideas and any help i can get in the restoration proccess mike

Go with the T5 man, or a 4-speed for the true muscle-car feel. Auto's rob a lot of power from the engine. Maybe look into the new 427 stroker kits for a 351 engine...
Welcome to the site. I agree, go with the standard, either 5 speed or 4. The old 4 speeds are a lot stronger and can take a lot more abuse than the T5's.
I would go with a manaul but not the T-5 its just not beefy enough for a stroker. I've already gone through two t5s and finally got fed up and got a tremec 3550. It just really depends on what torqe range you wanna run in.
