Ordered my black GT today. Am getting 18-inch chrome wheels with Perelli tires, metallic red racing and side stripes, custom two-tone black and red hourglass leather seats, tinting. This will be my fourth (actually fifth, if you include my '71 Cougar convertible, which I just sold after owning it for 20 years) Mustang, and from the test drive, it is the best Mustang ever. My first new car was a '71 Mach I, then I bought a used '69 when I got out of the service, and my parents had a '67 my last year in high school. I sold my Jag S-Type to buy the new Mustang and figured I never could trick it out the way I wanted until now, so why not? Any idea how long they are taking to get in? My dealer says 6-8 weeks, and 12 at the outside.

Welcome. Some people are waiting as long as 6 weeks or more but there are some that had been able to find them by doing searches. Here in Florida, Brandon Ford had 7 GTs last week. I don't know how many they have now. One thing is for sure, you'll be extremelly happy with your Stang!!!

I read on the boards a bit earlier that there are TONS AND TONS of GT's on backorder, they can't make em fast enough. My guess is it'll be more than 6 weeks for sure, especially since they're putting verts out now.

I would say start looking around for a black one, atleast, and then you can just do your own stripes so ya don't have to wait!
