Default how to properly break engine

Hello there people I just bought a week ago I 2006 SALEEN with 35 miles on it. It has been sitting on the dealership lot for almost 3 years, anyways I went over to jiffy lube and changed the oil on it and got synthetic cause the regular oil was sitting to long in the engine. Also I did not rev the engine up on 3 times and smoked an STI subaru and an M3 for a couple of seconds and then remembered that I was just breaking in the engine....I know you might think I am crazy but it is really tempting but any how the car is great and only take it out couple days a week..... I already put 500 milesand I looked at someones post that said that you should change the gear box oil at 500 miles and the oil in the engine at 1500?
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to maintain my car and proper use when it is new....I love it...

Thank You very much on reading this post people and pardon de spelling n grammar...Happy New Year

You don't need to change the oil in the tranny until you hit the 30,000 mile mark. You don't need to change the oil in the engine either until you get 3000 miles on the oil. If you have 500 miles on the engine then your good to go wide open.
