hello everybody, I wanted to introduce myself real quick.
I am a blacksmith/ metal sculptor with a strong interest in traditional hot rods (think American Graffiti not Need for Speed). I am currently putting together parts to build a '29 Model A which will be powered by a 302 cube from a 92 T-bird. Aside from the A and T-bird I also have a V8 '81 Mercury Capri that will hopefully find a good home in the near future. However the REAL reason I am at this fine forum is not because of a car I own.
Really I am here because my Girlfriend has a '93 I4 Stang and since I can sometimes convince her to let me drive it, I have a vested interest in making it faster, BUT must do so under the guise of "giving it better Mileage".
The Car is Torch Red, with tuck and roll white and red naugahide seats, Has a 5-speed and is basically stock other that some stereo stuff, the seats, and as far as I can tell, the spark plug wires. It gets 16-21 MPG on average with light traffic town and interstate (girl) driving. It is likely that it gets about 10 when I am behind the wheel! It seems that with the little 2.3L it should be getting a lot better than that!
I am always interested in Cheep diy mods and anything that has to do with Small Windsors.
Oh and sorry if I commit a few internet sins-I'm not really much of a computer knowin guy....
