hey.
the only way it seems I'm able to open the trunk on my car is to manually open it with the key.

is there any way to upgrade the remote so that i can use that instead?
my current remote has has four buttons; lock, unlock, option, and panic,

the panic doesnt work (i dont know why) and I'm not sure what the option button is for.

any other 2006 GT ownerss that can give me advice?

Can you open the car with the remote? If so, the panic and the trunk button may be busted. If you can't do anything with the remote...i'll say its time to change the battery.
