Very proud owner of a 65 mustang coupe. Found you guys and thoughtI could pull some info off you. I bought the car from a cop a few years back and he slapped paint over tons of rust and sold the car to me. Who thought a cop would be a crook. lol
Less than a year later the motor blew and the Transmission was shot. I drove it pretty hard so that part was my fault. I am in the early stages of a full restore. I am de-rusting the best I can. I have done most of the work myself. Then plan to do more of a restomod to the parts that are left.I would like to keep it original looking yetI am working on a mustang II front end and looking into an IRS unit. The new engine and transmission willwill be another one off from that 260 6 bangerthat it came with.I have a ton of ideas and a few project in the works. I will try to contribute and post pictures if I get the funds to finish one of these projects.
If anyone is in the Virginia Beach, VA area and know some names of some good body guys I would be greatful for a PM.
