Default New from Oklahoma

Hey all!!!,
Well I am buying a 1989 Mustang tommorow! I know, it is not the most wanted Mustang, but I like em'. It has 53000 original miles, on the original motor and runs strong. It is not a GT, but is a hatchback, and was originally built to be a police car, but never did. I don't know much about these cars, so if I'm wrong don't trample me. It has the 5.0 HO, and is an auto.
My wife is actually going to be driving it as a daily driver, while I am driving my 2000 Trans am. So, not many mods are going into it, but I am going to do a few things. Allready has a full exhuast dumped with flows right before the axles. If anyone knows any small hp adding mods, don't be shy to share.
This will actually be my second Mustang, my last one was a 1968 coupe, orange with a 289 HO, which was also my first car. I got rid of it about a year ago, and will feel good about sitting behind the wheel of another pony!
I'm joining to share what ever knowledge I might have...which isn't much sometimes, lol, and to learn! Also, to know how to fix stuff when I break it.
I will have pics hopefully tommorow with my Trans am, so I will post as soon as get them!

Check out the 5.0 section. They will be a lot of help. Put a cold air intake on it and that will help with the HP and gas mileage. Welcome to the forums.

I had an 89 LX with the 5.0 and really enjoyed it. I am new to the forum myself. Enjoy your new ride.. (I am sure your wife will let you drive it once in a while) Brian

Well, the bank is delaying me until Monday...so drive the car home, do some snap shots, then I will put up pics.
Yes, I will be driving the car often! Maby more since I have a cam setup going into the T/A.
I was wondering what all would I have to get to make the car look like a gt, no badges, I don't want to clone, I just like the side skirts and the front bumper more than the LX's.
Where could I find these to make it look a little beefier!
I'm looking forward to the car, was wanting something the wife could drive and not be a shamed of, and me enoy, and this is what we compromised on!
