New Guy says HI!
Hey all,
Though I've only owned two Mustangs myself, I've been around them all my "Adult" life. I have a friend that has had a number of the early cars including a 64.5 pony, a 67 coupe (he ran over both my legs with that one) a 72 sportback, and a 73 sportback.
I bought an 84 GT-350 for $250 and had her to the track for under $500 including taxes and registration. The car ran 13.98 @ 97.5mph. I wanted to go faster but couldn't bring myself to cut up a numbers matching anniversary edition. I sold it to a girl that promised to restore the car. She and her brother went through the body and interior but then painted the car chrome yellow and died the interior black (AZZ-Holes do vex me!!) Then I had an 83 GT sunroof car that was a solid rolling chassis that was going to be my drag car. I sold it when I found out that the 5.0 would go into the Miata in the driveway.
Last month my company bought its 30th car from the local Ford Dealer and they gave us a Roush convertable 427R for the weekend. Nice toy. I never got out of third gear because I kept running out of road.
Sorry for the long bio... just had some things to share... Chris
