New Guy in CT
I'm on my 3rd Mustang though I have to admit I've never gone more than 100 miles in one I owned! Now, it's not as bad as it sounds... I had an 84.5 GT-350 that I took to the track to run a 13.98 @ 97.5 I bought the car and got it registered and to the track for under $500 but sold it rather than start cutting it up to go faster.
Then there was the 83 GT rolling chassis... sold it because the motor I had built would go into the Miata for less than what it would take to sort out the GT chassis.
So 3 years later, I decide to use an LS-1 in the Miata and the 5.0 motor is still on the stand. Thats when I went looking for a car with a popped motor so I could put the two together. Now I have a triple white 89 GT vert. Turns out the Popped motor was only a popped freeze plug not a cracked block. She runs strong and the trans barks second at idle. I'll have a new top on her by spring. Can't wait to get back to the track!!!!
