kinda new from nebraska

hi everyone...i had an older account but i quit getting on him after awhile and decided to wait untill i had a mustang for myself....i now have a 99 red mustang gt so hello everyone! glad to be back

ive noticed something that seems like its not working correctly but im not for sure....i tryed topping it out a couple of times and found that when i shifted to 5th it actually slowed me down and it wouldnt let the rpm's go up at all is there something wrong with 5th gear or is it some saftey feature to protect the car?
