Default Hello! New to the forum!

Hello! I purchased my 2007 V6 Mustang last June (my FIRST BRAND NEW CAR!) and I love ALMOST everything about it. It was a leftover from the previous year and although I swore never to drive a Mustang (I like chevy's) I fell in love. The reason why I decided to join this forum is because I am currently having problems filling up the gas tank. It either fills up slowly (I mean SLOWLY) or it shuts off the gas pump before filling up completely. I once had to go gas station hopping because none of the gas pumps worked with my car! I am trying to get it fixed but Ford has been refusing to look at it even though they admitted it had a problem. I was just wondering if anyone else can lend some help! I have heard that the '05-'07 Mustangs have defects with the gas tank. Anyone else have this problem or know someone who had the problem?

WELCOME TO MF'S
Could be a kink in the filler neck or the inside filler tube is too close to the fuel pump. Take it back to the dealer and demand they that they fix it.

Welcome to the forums. Do you have the problem all the time or just some of the time.

Many issues on this and the fix is really not that great IMO....check the S197 tech section and try a search...this is a common problem and can be relieved with turning the gas pump handle to the 3 or 9 o'clock position while filling and not pressing all the way to get full pressure on the gas pump while filling...hope it helps and welcome to the forum...
