Default New to Mustangs, want to learn more!

Hi all,

I've been reading up on mustangs for a few weeks now trying to figure out what my next car project will be. I come from the import scene but have grown pretty tired of the small aftermarket and the flaming on the boards. I think I would like to go domestic if I can for my next project, and I love the new mustangs! I'll be reading up on here mostly, but may chime in if I feel I can be of come use. Planning on picking up a GT or shelby GT in the next year or two.

Also, I've been really impressed with this site. You guys and girls are worlds nicer than any other forum I've been to.

Take care,

Matt

Thanks me too! Gotta wait and see about my career / school plans. I'm astounded by how affordable some of the GT's can get (in comparison to other sports cars). Also, the plug-in tunes that you can order online? That's incredible and a huge reason for me to go domestic.

Hahaha oh don't worry I know the off topic sections of forums don't count.

Very impressed with what I've read so far about the mustang. The stock motors are strong and take to boost, mods are cheap and plentiful, and best of all I can get my rear wheel drive fix!

I am a little confused about this CAI business here. All of the pictures of intakes I see here show the filter still in the engine bay and not seemingly having access to cold air. Shouldn't these be a called short ram intakes? I'm guessing there is something about the Mustang architecture that allows cold air to flow over these filters. Maybe they are just called cold air intakes out of habit? Would some one mind clearing this up for me please?
