2001 V6 Convertible
Hello all - I just purchased, by remote transaction, a 2001 Mustang convertible (V6, auto green & tan) for my daughter to use while she is finishing college. She's new to the car, and I'm about 2000 miles away, so can't be of much help to her if she needs anything. She picked it up last weekend, and so far, she loves the car. I like it because it appears to be a safe enough car (has anti lock brakes and traction control) and the V6 / auto will keep her out of trouble and keep my insurance rates low. I probably won't see the car in person until next summer when she's done, but I would like to know if there are any newbie things I should watch out for or plan to do for the car. We hope to keep it going for at least 6 more years (it has 83,000 miles on it).
I already have a very modified Mazda MX5 miata with turbo, so I don't have the mod bug for this car (I don't drive it anyway), but if there are any no-brainer quick mods or things to watch out for that might apply to this generation Mustang, I'm all ears.
The only complaint I've gotten back from her so far is that the Mach stereo doesn't have an input for her Ipod. I wonder if there's an aftermarket board that can be installed with a stereo plug for the car?
Thanks all!

Welcome to MF! There are plenty of mods you can do for the V6. I'm not sure how serious you want them to get other then a tune up. I'm guessing there will be some stuff you should replace around 100k.
There are aftermarket head units that have an Ipod plug in. Not to knowledgable about that stuff so I'm not much help.
