Default 3.9L V6 Mustang Owner

Another new guy here. I'll be 18 in august. I own a 2004 Competition Orange 3.9L V6 Mustang. It has a 4-speed automatic transmission. It's completely stock, but I love the car. I was wondering, what would be the cheapest first step i could take to make her run faster. I'm kinda short on money right now, but she'll be paid off in no time flat. Thanks in advance for any input that is available.

Ford made a running change from 3.8 to 3.9 liters for the '04 model year. Ford didn't change the horse or torque ratings. By the way, welcome to the forums! I'm a fairly new member myself. For all of you v-6ers, Detroit Locker just released a TrueTrac diff for the 7.5 rearend. I wish they had those when I had my SVO.

^ Yeap. The 04 v6s have 3.9L. No extra HP or anything, but it's all good.

I love competition orange on our bodystyle, I wish they had kept that color or had it for earlier years. I may have gotten that color.

Anyways, welcome to the forums, and please come on over to the v6 section- we've got some great guys and gals there who are modding their 6ers and making them a lot faster.

Welcome again!

Welcome to the forum! And I go with an exhaust or cold air pipe first or just throw in a K&N filter in the stock air box if you want it to be really cheap.Good Luck with the car man

Thanks for all the help. I think I'm gonna go with the K&N air filter till it's paid off. I'm currently makin' "2 and a fraction" payments a month. It was a 5 year plan, so I'm rollin' along. I was also wondering, what picture formats are supported in the signatures.
