Welcome! I was going to buy a 5.0 fox after a few months of paying off my 2004 F250 FX4 4 door 4x4! It would be my DD, the truck took a dump at a stop light at 130,0000 miles with only one payment left! With no cash in the bank and a $6000 repair bill I decided to go cheap and buy a bare bones base model 2010 v6! It has now become project "cheaper sleeper" I understand it only has 210hp and 240 torque stock, but when I'm done it will surprise many!

Ugh that suuuucckks about the truck! What went wrong with it? My DD is an older 4x4 f-150 with about 140k on it......now you've got me wondering.

And for the OP, there's a fox for sale about a half mile from me that looks almost identical to the one you may buy. It looks like it had a femme owner? ("jenzpony?)

Greeneyedgirl, it totally sucked! I changed the oil ever 5000 miles with mobil1 full synthetic and mobil1 oil filter. Never had a single problem up until that fateful day! I was sitting at a stop light and all of a sudden the most horrific noise from under the hood! The truck blew a rod, and 2 different repair shops said it required replacing the top of the motor to the tune of $6000! Well it could have been a manufactured flaw, but I was so far out of warranty there was no one to blame! I will not use Mobil1 ever again because of this, but life goes on!
